Adventuremobile: T1N Sprinter build

‘Shaper Edge’ on FB shared his latest build. It’s impressive to see this restoration of a 140 T1N Sprinter Van. It originally started as a US Dodge Sprinter. This looks to have been an ongoing restoration and custom build. Really nicely done 👌🏼 It has something we’ve never seen but kind of like. Two grab handles on the hood that look like mounts for something like traction boards. Our imagination is runny wild. It looks like Dometic low profile AC on the roof along with a Maxxfan. Wheels are obviously G Wagon 18” that have the same bolt pattern as a T1N. They’re 18x7.5 with an offset of 43mm and fit really well. The large 18” wheels force you to use lower profile tires. (OE Part Number: B660331036)

The interior is really classy. Typically wood interiors can make a van look like a ship or sailboat. And ironically with this world map, it could go that way really quick. But this looks modern enough and well thought out. Not a great layout for a van to haul much cargo or people. But really nicely done as a 1-2 person camper.

The roof and walls have these steampunk style incandescent lamps that give it a very warm vibe.

The color is very similar to a Mercedes Stone Grey. The rear doors have some nice vents to either draw air in or push warm air out. The subtle black paint or wrap that ties the rear windows together makes it a bit more modern like a NVC3.
