How much weight can a Sprinter T1N roof hood?

Curious about how much weight the roof could hold on a T1N? 😂🤣😂🤣

Just be very careful about pressing down in one spot like walking upright on the seams. They actually will crack and then leak!

Obviously a roof rack mounted on the roof or drip rails puts the weight out to the edge and doesn’t distribute the weight across the roof itself like this demo. But it’s an interesting data point.

Notice the motor and front suspension ( and I'd guess the transmission) are all missing. Still impressive weight supported, but nowhere near a car full weight on this van, don't get cocky on your roof, it is actually easy to dent.

We always recommend putting a sheet of ply over the roof before putting anything up there, including walking on the roof. Gives us a surface to work on as well for whatever we’re doing up there when needed.
