Installing bike repair stand on a Sprinter Van
Using a Sprinter for biking isn’t anything new. There are so many ways to carry or store a bike. If you ride a lot, you’ll find quick adjustments or repairs at the trailhead are inevitable. We found a perfect simple adjustable arm that can be mounted to the inner door.
Removing the rear plastic panel off the inner door there limited areas where one might find a good mount for the bike plate. The easy way is to add a mounting plate. But we wanted to keep the factory panel with the lower stow away pocket. We looked at spots where we can add the threaded insert nuts for both the bike stand but also a hatchet mount.
The plate needs to be bent in two spots to ensure it keeps the extended arm straight and allows it to go under a platform bed as it swings into the inner part of the rear van.
