Sprinter Van Jack Points

When jacking up your Sprinter. It’s important to use the recommended Mercedes Benz mounting points. Here’s a breakdown of what those jack points are and how to use them correctly.

  • Vehicles which have been modified in areas of maintenance points/lifting points are not maintainable at Mercedes-Benz dealerships.

  • Due to safety reasons Mercedes-Benz dealerships will not use any other lifting points than the designated by Mercedes-Benz standards (see above).

  • Mercedes-Benz highly recommends not to modify the highlighted areas.

Getting a good jack

(Note: The following is for illustrative purposes only)

All Sprinters are fairly large vehicles. The 4x4 Sprinter van is especially large as it has a roughly 2” lift over a 2WD version. This poses for tough to reach spots with a regular jack. The OEM Sprinter bottle jack is intended to be used with the jack points we shared earlier in this post. There are some other acceptable points where you can use typical mechanics jack.

But the reach for these points can be difficult. Show below is indeed a point you can use to jack the rear of a Sprinter van up. But we wanted to illustrate a point. You can see that with a 3 Ton jack it and about 10” of wood blocking it will barely lift the van to get to a rear wheel.
