Winter Safari: Titus Canyon

  • Titus Canyon Road Beatty, NV United States (map)
Mercedes-Sprinter-Titus-Canyon

Deep in Titus Canyon, Death Valley, California

This part of the road is actually really good unless it’s washed out by a flash flood.

2020 Titus Van Safari - a winter run to the famous Death Valley canyon to view vistas, ghost towns and petroglyphs in a van. Open to all vans, Mercedes Sprinter, Ford Transit, Dodge Promaster and others.

We meet to boondock on Saturday night and do a group run through the canyon early to avoid other traffic and possible heat.

Approximate GPS for the overnight is. 36°51'07.5"N 116°53'25.5"W

November is typically cool and perfect.

Flash floods can occur at anytime so road conditions can change at anytime.

2WD sprinters with off-road tires have made it with no problems. 4WD is recommended but not required. If the road is in good condition you might not even need 4WD. If it’s been raining, then prepare for the worst. Bring a shovel and spares. This is a popular route with Jeeps so we won’t be alone.

This is a one-way road. One you begin down Titus Canyon Road there’s no turning back. You’re committed.

T-shirts and stickers are included with registration.

You can buy there on this site if you want one for your rig.
