Retrofitting a large diesel fuel inlet on a VS30 Sprinter Van

It’s fine that a regular sized Diesel nozzle fits on the VS30 but what if you’re somewhere you need to fill up from a truck stop with only larger commercial high-flow nozzles? One of the things that is seriously annoying is that the new VS30 Sprinter Vans do not accept these larger nozzle spouts that you find at many truck stops when you’re on those trips in the middle of nowhere.

We go after figuring out how to retrofit a NVC3 filler on a VS30. Our 2013 NCV3 allows these larger volume fillers and when you’re in the middle of nowhere with limited options to filling up, you want all the compatibility possible.

The large nozzles in the US meant to fill commercial tanks will not fit on the newer VS30 Sprinter Vans from 2019-present

Sourcing a new inlet

The one big difference is simply the metal inlet at the end of the filler hose.
