Travel: Downieville & Donner

Many flock to Lake Tahoe when heading to the Sierras in North California. But close by there’s some great spots where mainly locals go to hang out.

A great loop if you want a decent single track challenge. Dogs are ok and the trail is used by hikers and bikers as well as those on horseback.

Most 2WD vans can make it to the meadow.  Great spot to stage a hike or bike on the East side.
