Modified Thule Gutter Roof Rack for T1N Sprinter Vans

We’ve seen some creative solutions for making a roof rack work on a T1N tall roof Sprinter Van. There are no roof rails like there are on NVC3 and VS30 vans. And the rain gutter is in the same position as the low roof van. So if you want to use the rain gutter to mount a rack and clear the extended roof then you have to get creative. One way is to modify an existing rain gutter rack like this Thule unit. Cutting them in half and bolting a solid aluminum block in place seems to be a decent alternative.
